Still relatively fresh on the scene, Lunatik Clothing is already pushing the limits. Who are they? They’re a Portland based street wear company that makes clothing from an alternative sports perspective. You will see their crew at most the snowboarding events around the area, especially Epic’s monthly Jibba Jam, or up at T-line where they spend their down time. You can also catch them out and about at all things they deem Lunatik, handing out shwag and having a good time. Primarily based online with their recent launch of lunatikclothing.com, they’re crashing the party by doing things their way. From the loud and creative style to the guerrilla marketing, everything is uniquely Lunatik.
Lunatik is bringing together people from all over to build the Lunatik base. Rather than just push their own designers style, they’re creating the style around the customers. They want everyone to get involved, because They are tired of people telling others what to buy. They want to hear from our customers, get their opinions and ideas. Lunatik has the same philosophy that Jack Nicholson quoted in The Departed, “We don’t want to be a product of our environment, we want our environment to be a product of us”. That attitude is why Lunatik was started, because the owners felt there just wasn’t a lot our there representing them. Lunatik is also looking to hold a lot of open contests and a Featured Artist series in the future. This is so they can draw from all the creative people out there feeling Lunatik. For Lunatik's open contests, they want artists to submit their stuff and then they want our customers and fans to get involved and vote on what is the most Lunatik design out there.
So Lunatik is doing it themselves. Between their crew and their friends just about every alternative sport out there is covered. Lunatik networks with a lot of artists, musicians and athletes, which is where a lot of their style stems from. Their company is being built from the ground up, and they are determined to bring a fresh new look. Lunatik seeks to revolutionize the industry and bring it back to the people. To them it's all about a global community, honesty, fun, rebellious attitudes and staying true.
