A while back cruising the internet we stumbled accross this company called True Snowboards. Like all things shred, it caught our attention, so we checked it out to see if it was legit.
TRUE snowboards is a snowboard company based out of the UK primarily. While the UK isn't exactly famous for world renowned resorts or anything, they do ride over there, and this company is working hard to make it happen. The company is largely driven by this lady Liza Brooks, a 24 year old prize winning engineering graduate. She got her degree from one of the worlds leading universities in composite technologies, so if you're ever wondering who the heck cooked up the crazy idea for adding carbon whatevers to improve lateral flex and blah blah... she's your genius. Just check out the link below to her web page, where you'll see her taking a chainsaw to a snowboard. She's serious about what she's up to!
TRUE snowboards just recently expanded worldwide, but it's been a tough road to expand. Like any start up company it's not easy, especially with a recession and a pretty miserable winter sales wise for most stores. That hasn't stopped them though, as they are not only expanding worldwide, but a lot of the riders in this years USASA Nationals will be rocking their boards. I can't say I blame them either for taking the boards to nationals, these boards are made with some of the highest quality base materials on the market!
Now that fluffy stuff is great and all, but let's face it... It really comes down to if the board can shred or not! So we decided to hit them up, have them send us a board, and see if we could destroy it. Turns out the boards pretty tough, as our team rider Boone Howard couldn't kill it, and it earned his seal of approval. Just check out the video below:
