The progression continues! Boone tries (and fails) the double tindy. In the background, then-girlfriend Noelle thinks "I wish he'd grab me like that..."

Taken on one of his first days riding, eighth-grade Boone attempts a 180 (though the photo was originally labeled as "Frontside Shifty" because that's probably about where the rotation stopped). Check out the plastic board, x-country ski boots, and dainty hand movement.

Boone finally packed it all up and moved from small-town Alaska to Portland, exchanging his tiny gravel-pit jumps for the shred-zone hot spot of Mt. Hood... only to do backside 180s off jumps made mostly of logs. At least he has the presence of mind to make direct eye contact mid-trick. Forget afterbang, it's all about during-bang. Dang!

Fourteen year old Boone loved to jump over sleds. He would ride for hours on this tiny hill, jumping off tiny bumps and hiking back up to the top while listening to Sum 41. Here's a shot of his most stylish trick, the attempted nosegrab. Soon after this shot was taken, he almost learned how to turn.
