Hey everyone,

So we're coming into the 2009-2010 season, and it's a mighty busy one! Jesse Nicola, our web developer, has been extremely busy working with Pairodime Productions helping to crank out the Union Bindings and Capita website, along with all their other regular workload. Jesse however has taken some time out of his busy schedule to help out the MHSS site some, and help add some cool features.

One of the main features we've added, is that ANYONE can post an event now! All you do is signup for a member account, which is free. Then go to events, and the first menu option will say: POST EVENT. Click it, fill out the form, and viola, an event is posted!

We're doing this so as it will be easier than ever for the community to help get the word out about events. Therefore, if you know of a cool event going down that we forgot, post it up and help get the word out to your fellow riders!

Hello everyone, and thanks for stopping by! We're currently working on compiling all the footage from the MFM Rail Jam at Epic for the Month of July. We'll be putting it online soon and sharing everything with you guys!

Other than that, we're not up to much. We've been out riding a few times on the T-line glacier, but most of us like to pick up other hobbies during the summer. Our main web developer infact is now working for Pairodime Design Studios, and contributing to such projects as Capita Snowboards new site, Union bindings new site, and more! Pairodime design also has a partner company Sole Position which specializes in internet marketing.

Anyways, the point of referencing all that is we've got plans coming into next winter. What we're going to do be doing is setting the site up so as we're a bit less hands on about things. Originally we wanted to keep things hands on, but it turns out that it just slows things down and we feel will hinder MHSS from becoming what it should be. No we want MHSS to be the place that truly reflects everything going down on Mt. Hood, so we're on it.

Anyways, look for more features coming soon, as we'll be enabling it so as ANYONE can post events. We'll be screening them of course to make sure people aren't posting fake content, but for the most part anyone can put an event on the site, be it a rail jam, or a get together on hood. We'll have it all posted, and it will all be sortable by categories and more!

So we went and posted already that we were pretty much done until next season... and then Mark Frank Montaya and the kids down at Epic Snow decided that a rail jam in July was the thing to do. Since we like the kids down at Epic and enjoy getting involved we'll be down at the event. We'll be providing a wicked big sound system, which alongside the awesome course from the Axiomatic kids, and the tons of free prize giveaways, will be an absolutely awesome event!

We don't really have that much more information yet as Heidi (the awesome chick making things happen down at Epic) hasn't given us a flier or anything else.. but it's going down around 3pm and you'll definitely want to be there. Oh yeah, there's beer too. Now you have no excuse not to show up!

Hello everyone, and thanks for helping us make this year an excellent one for us! We covered a ton of skiing and snowboarding events here on Mt. Hood, and we definitely had a strong start. This year definitely brought some interesting elements to Hood. We're stoked though to have been around helping document what we could of it all, and helping keep the snowboarders and skiers of the region informed. We're also really happy that we were able to get so many featured articles done on the awesome people and businesses making it happen on Hood and around the world.

Next year is going to be one interesting year, not just because things have changed on Hood, but because there's a lot of new blood coming in and working really hard in the region. We will be there documenting everything for you guys though and making it happen, so definitely keep on coming to the site.

For those doing summer riding, we'll see you up at Timberline here and there, but we probably won't be focused on documenting anything. We're just going to be out and about enjoying our time snowboarding on the mountain.

Oh yeah, one last thing, there is one last final event going down at Timberline to close out the season...

Hips and Lips Contest

Atmosphere and Masa present the first annual Hips and Lips Contest at Mt. Hood Timberline. It's a snowboarding hip contest, so come ride with your friends and get radical. For more information check out the event listing.

Hey everyone, so unfortunately the weather has taken a turn for the worse for this Saturday (the day of the event) so we're postponing the event. Sorry to everyone stoked to come on out (and man there were a lot of people showing interest) but it's just not going to fly in the rain.

We're now looking into postponing and will hopefully be able to work something out with Skibowl. There is a possiblity that they may rearrange all their snow and try and run a rail sesion for as long as the snow goes. They did it last year and it was an awesome time! Anyways, we're hoping they decide to do this again, and then we can participate in making the whole thing happen at a later date.
